The selected artists for this project were Darwin Erazo and Carlos Torres Machado. Our goal was to educate High School students about the significance of murals in society, so we meticulously developed an introductory workshop on the history and origins of murals. The workshop delved into the stories and artistry behind the most remarkable murals, like Mexican muralism.

“It aimed to instill an understanding of how murals have been used to express ideas, inspire change, and preserve heritage throughout the ages.”

Then, we introduced the students to the various materials and techniques used in painting murals. Expert guidance on the intricate mural painting process ensured that the students understood this unique art form comprehensively.

After immersing themselves in the knowledge and skills imparted during the workshop and under the watchful eye of two seasoned professional muralists, they collectively brought to life a stunning mural that encapsulated their newfound appreciation for this expressive medium.

“Murals tell stories inspire change, and preserve the heritage of communities across generations.”
