New York — Artelatam continues to grow and strengthen its connection with the artistic and educational community in New York. The organization now has a new digital space at artelatam.nyc, designed to celebrate creativity, art education, and Latin talent.
“This new website allows us to connect even more closely with schools, artists, and communities, sharing our mission to connect cultures through art,” highlights Carlos Torres Machado, Executive Director of Artelatam.
In addition, the organization is expanding its services through Public Art, a program that believes in the power to transform spaces, spark dialogue, and unite communities. With over 25 years of combined experience, the team creates inclusive, site-specific works that celebrate local culture and identity, collaborating with government agencies, developers, and private sector clients.
Since 2016, the ArteLatAm Collective has consolidated artists’ studios into hubs of research and experimentation, fostering dialogues that connect diverse audiences with the creative process, ensuring their work remains inclusive and socially relevant.
At the same time, Artelatam’s Educational Arts Programs continue to offer customized arts programs and murals for students from K to 12th grade, inspiring creativity, confidence, and academic growth. Since 2020, as a certified M/WBE Arts Vendor for the NYC and NJ DOE, they have served over 5,000 students across New York City, with bilingual teaching artists delivering high-quality, culturally responsive arts education that enriches school communities.
Artelatam invites educators, institutions, and families to explore the new website, stay updated on its initiatives, and join its mission to transform education and public spaces through art.
