The residency at P.S. 138 Samuel Randall School in the Bronx was established as a major artistic hub for 300 elementary students during the spring of 2022. Spanning three months, this program transformed the school’s atmosphere into a vibrant center for creative discovery, allowing students to explore the intersection of personal identity and community heritage. Through a structured series of workshops, the young participants moved beyond traditional drawing to experiment with the fundamental building blocks of visual communication—color, texture, and composition—using art as a bridge to connect their classroom learning with the world around them.

The program prioritized hands-on engagement, encouraging students to work both individually and in collaborative groups to solve creative challenges.
