Marta Blair is a Colombian multidisciplinary artist, based in New York City since 1997. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the National University of Colombia, as well as a BFA in Graphic Design. Her artistic work encompasses textiles, paintings, murals, and community-engaged installations. Marta has worked as a teaching artist for various organizations, including The Bronx River Arts Center, Harlem School of the Arts, Marquis Studios, and Arte Latam. Her projects aim to brighten daily routines by introducing color and large, inviting forms to unexpected spaces. Through her work, she seeks to give a sense of wonder, open conversations, and recreate memories and emotional connections to our roots.
She has been awarded several City and State grants for her work with marginalized communities and Senior Centers around New York.
