The selected artist for this project was Gilly Lugo. ArteLatAm’s Elementary Sculpting Program introduced 260 students to the fundamentals of three-dimensional art through hands-on, age-appropriate projects. Students explored form, texture, balance, and basic sculpting techniques while working with materials such as clay, cardboard, recycled objects, aluminum foil, foam, and mixed media.

Through guided instruction and creative exploration, students developed artistic skills, problem-solving abilities, confidence, and collaboration while creating sculptures that reflected their imagination, personal experiences, and cultural identity.

The curriculum was tailored to students’ ages and grade levels, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
